Sarah always knew she wanted to work as a healthcare professional. As an active sports person, she was drawn to physiotherapy as a way to help people with their health related goals. Sarah's passion lies in helping individuals regain function and pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. She believes that this can be achieved by working with each client towards their individual goals using a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, active rehabilitation, BioResonace Therapy and education.
For many years Sarah has used Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques to help remove lymphoedema and to help boost the immune system and detoxify the body from the stresses of daily life, which are particularly apparent in a polluted city such as Hong Kong. More recently, she has trained in the use of the Bicom Optima machine which uses BioResonance Energy to help the body remove the influence of environmental stressors and toxins and so aid the body's ability to restore its auto regulatory systems.
Sarah has been qualified for over 20 year and have many years of experience across a broad spectrum of specialties, including Neurology, Orthopedics, General Medical and Surgical and outpatients and with all age groups. As well as working in England, she worked in Taif, Saudi Arabia. After moving to Hong Kong, and prior to joining The Body Group, Sarah was employed as a physiotherapist at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital providing services to both outpatients and inpatients.
Your first session with Sarah will include an assessment of your individual needs and dysfunctions in order to gain a baseline for improvement and to try and identify the underlying causes of the symptoms. Each treatment is then tailored to the individual needs of the client in order to achieve the optimal results. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour.
Sarah strives to continually update her knowledge and explore new approaches to treatments and has completed over 1500 classroom hours in continuing education including the following:
- Craniosacral therapy
- Integrative Manual Therapy
- Basic and advanced courses in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
- Positional Release Therapy
