Coco Bono products are made from hand picked, hand selected, mature, fresh organically grown Philippine coconuts. The Organic Certification is according to EC 834/2007 (EU Certification).

Our Virgin Coconut Oil is made from the first Cold Pressing of these coconuts. In addition, the VCO is then Cold Processed. The coconuts and the oil are kept below human body temperature at all times during manufacture and storage. Absolutely no heat or chemicals are used in the processing of this nutritious, edible oil.

While this whole process may take extra time, keeping the oil cool allows for the retention of monoglycerides and other natural antioxidants such as tocopherol (vitamin E), vitamin A and C, which serve as natural preservatives. Heating will destroy these substances leaving only the lauric Acid to work alone rather than in conjunction with these nutrients.
