Priscilla is the founder of Rawthentic Food, a company dedicated to organic plant-based raw food health, and as one of Hong Kong’s leading raw chefs, she is a highly regarded contributor of recipe’s and tips for many online platforms and published magazines, both in Hong Kong and abroad. Most recently, she has begun teaching courses on raw and vegan food preparation, as well as educating the community about the benefits of raw.
When Priscilla’s son was born, she began to really question where her food was coming from, how it was produced and how it gets to her table. Through her own research, she discovered how much of the food we ingest in our everyday lives contain hormones, steroids and pesticides, as well as how cooking foods over a temperature of 118F (47.7C) kills many nutrients, phytonutrients, minerals, vitamins and enzymes in food. This led her to beginning to experiment with organic whole foods and raw food preparation, with the results allowing her to feel more energized, more clarity of mind than ever before, have healthier looking skin and simply feeling more vibrant and alive.
After personally training with Julie Mitsios, one of the Australia’s top raw gourmet chefs, Priscilla began promoting raw and healthy foods throughout Hong Kong as a way of living a healthier and more energetic lifestyle. Next, she completed The Raw Chef Academy courses by Russell James; the UK’s top raw food chef. She became a fully certified Gourmet Raw Food Chef and Certified in Raw Food Detox at the prestigious Elaina Love’s Pure Joy Culinary Academy, training alongside world renowned master chef Elaina Love herself. She is an avid supporter of local organic farming and continues to educate those about the importance of raw and organic foods, creating dishes that are both healthy for you and still delicious tasting.
Priscilla’s unique passion for both raw food and her previous music and educational background in early childhood development has allowed her to deliver a method of teaching food preparation techniques that will help transform the lives of families, just as it has helped transform hers.
According to Priscilla: “I believe that the majority of people try to make the best decisions based on what they know, which is why it is important to ask these questions and educate ourselves.”
