Dr. Seiden is a clinical psychologist, licensed in New York and New Jersey. He specializes in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (including Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia), brainwave biofeedback (neurofeedback), meditation/mindfulness therapy, Open Focus pain management, and Ericksonian hypnosis/hypnotherapy.
He is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, having received specialized training in cognitive behavior therapy as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Cornell Cognitive Therapy Clinic of Weill Medical College of Cornell University; as a Professional Associate of Psychology in Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital; and as a clinical psychologist at Summit Medical Group’s Behavioral Health and Cognitive Therapy Center.
He has been Board Certified in Neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) under the mentorship of Dr. Les Fehmi of the Princeton Biofeedback Centre, with whom he also obtained certification in NeuroSynchrony and Open Focus Training. He holds a certification in Ericksonian hypnotherapy by the New York Milton Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, and is certified as a School Psychologist in the state of New Jersey. He was Program Director for the New York Family Studies Unit of the UCLA Center for Community Health, and has been on the Medical Staff of New Jersey’s St. Barnabas Hospital, as an Affiliate in the Department of Psychiatry.
On the basis of a clients’ goals and preferences, Dr. Seiden creates a treatment plan integrating research-supported techniques in one or more therapeutic modalities.
