Sarah Eames

Physiotherapist, Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, Integrative Manual Therapist

name

Sarah Eames always knew she wanted to work as a healthcare professional. An active sports person, she was drawn to physiotherapy as a way to help people with their health related goals. In treating the lymphatic system Sarah helps boost the immune system and detoxify the body from the stresses of daily life, which are particularly apparent in a polluted city such as Hong Kong.

Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist in 1982 at Lanchester Polytechnic in England, and has many years of experience across a broad spectrum of specialties, from pediatrics to geriatrics, from sports injuries to neurologically damaged adults, inpatients and outpatients. For two consecutive years she was the physiotherapist for the Jaguar Racing team for the 24-Hour Le Mans automobile race, and also worked in Taif, Saudi Arabia, treating patients with spinal injuries and neurological disorders as well as being responsible for the reorganization and supervision of the orthopaedic outpatient department.

On returning to the UK Sarah focused her attention on adult neurology. She earned certifications in the Bobath methodology, a manual therapy methodology for the treatment of neurologically damaged patients. Sarah was the senior therapist in charge of the specialty area at Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield and at the South Warwickshire Hospital in Warwick where she was also responsible for the supervision and training of junior staff and students, and at the Walsall Hospital. After moving to Hong Kong and prior to joining The Body Group, Sarah was employed as a physiotherapist at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital providing services to both outpatients and inpatients.
